Lookism, where too much emphasis is placed on appearance when evaluating individuals, has become a social problem. Assistant Professor Yumi Hamamoto at Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences has developed a research plan to tackle this problem by combining MRI and VR, which has been adopted as a research project for 2024 in the PRESTO research area “Creating Human-Centered Interaction to Solve Social Issues”(Hamamoto)
