NEWS ƒjƒ…[ƒX 202406.24 The feelings of acceptance and rejection affect the neural processes of self-evaluation (Poster Presentation at International Conference) Posted in Presentation Self-evaluation is believed to be influenced by feelings of acceptance and rejection. Previous research has shown that individuals may change their self-evaluation positively or negatively in response to social acceptance or rejection feedback. However, it's unclear how the neural processing of self-evaluation is associated with the sense of acceptance and rejection. Ms. Ding Yi, the student of Graduate School of Medichine found different cognitive processing (i.e., mentalizing, emotion regulation, and inhibition) during self-evaluation in various domains are linked to the sense of acceptance and the sense of rejection, respectively. These findings were presented at the Organization for Human Brain Mapping 2024 (Sugiura).
