Checklist after earthquake

In the event of a seismic shake of magnitude 5 or higher in Aoba Ward, Sendai (equivalent to receiving an emergency earthquake alert) or any tremor that causes significant fear, the on-site staff or safety officer must check the following items and report any anomalies to the 3T-MRI Committee.

Checklist:
(1)Oxygen Concentration in the MRI Room
  • Check the oxygen concentration meter located to the left of the emergency button.
  • Normal concentration should be around 20-21%. If it falls below 18%, evacuation is required.

(2)Daily Check Items
  • Helium Level: Ensure there is no sudden decrease.
  • Chiller Warning Light: Check for any warning lights.
  • Chiller Sound in the Machine Room: Ensure the chiller operates properly.
  • Air Conditioning in the Machine Room: Verify the system is working.
  • Humidifier in the Machine Room: Confirm the humidifier is functioning.
  • Temperature and Humidity in the Machine Room: Check for any sudden changes

(3)Outdoor Chiller Check
  •  
  • Check the chiller panel display located on the opposite side of the entrance to the BI building.
  • Ensure there are no leaks in the water supply pipe on the right side of the chiller.
  • In case of abnormalities, immediately contact the Management Committee and Philips Customer Support.

  • If an error code (e.g., E06) is displayed, immediately contact the MRI Management Committee and Philips.

(4)Phantom MRI Function Check
  Visually inspect for any noise in the images produced by the phantom.
