How to read the vision measurement paper

Three measurements for each of the left and right eye and the resulting values for the lenses to be created are listed.
  • Refer to the SPH and CYL values to select the necessary lenses.
    • SPH:Strength of myopia/farsightedness
    • CYL:Astigmatism strength
  • Select spectacle frames by referring to the PD values.
    • PD:interpupillary distance

Lenses case

Left: SPH (vision correction) lens

Right: CYL (astigmatism correction) lens

There are lines of identification in two places on the lenses.

The power of the lens is written on the part to be held by the hand.
Since some of the frequently used lenses may have faded, save the vision measurement paper so that you do not lose track of which power lens you used when you put it away.
After the experiment is over, do not leave the paper behind, but dispose of or save it by yourself.

Eyeglass frames

Available in 55mm, 60mm, 65mm, and 70mm.
Fastened at the back of the head with Velcro tape.

Insert the lenses from the outside of the glasses (the side that does not touch the face).
At this time, be careful not to mistake the left and right sides.

Spectacles with lenses. (SPH lenses only)

Putting Glasses Away

Disinfect eyeglasses after each use and put them away in their cases.

Use neutral detergent (dishwashing detergent) and paper towels to disinfect the glasses, as using alcohol wipes will accelerate the deterioration of the glasses and make the power indicator fade.
  1. Wipe with a paper towel soaked in detergent.
  2. Wipe dry with an unsoaked paper towel.

Troubleshooting
  • Lens missing: Since there are two lens insertion slots, use two different types of lenses on top of each other.
  • Nosepiece removed: Insert the nosepiece that was removed or a replacement nosepiece. The tip is very delicate, so do not force it in.
*If it does not, please contact the office.
