202503.31 Emotional Cues in L2 Vocabulary Learning: How Expressive Facial Contexts Enhance Initial Learning and Long-Term Vocabulary Retention(Poster) Posted in Presentation

At this year’s Cognitive Neuroscience Society (CNS) Annual Meeting, Chunlin Liu presented research on how learning contexts influence the acquisition of emotional vocabulary in a second language (L2), focusing on both lexical meaning and emotional meaning. The results showed that watching videos containing emotional cues not only facilitated the initial learning of L2 emotional vocabulary, but the advantage also remained significant even after one month.
