Japan Second Language Acquisition Research Forum (J-SLARF) is a group of researchers in Japan working and collaborating at international levels.

We hosted a symposium of J-SLARF as J-SLARF@Tohoku. In addition to six individual researchers, we invited two plenary speakers, Professsor Natsuko Shintani (Kansai University) and Professor Aline Godfroid (Michigan State University). We had passionate discussions on the latest research in second language acquisition with a total of 77 participants.

During the lunch break, we also hosted an MRI lab tour for a total of 40 participants, providing explanations about MRI experiments and showcasing the facilities. The visitors asked many enthusiastic questions, and we also took the opportunity to promote future collaborative research.
