202408.28 The neural mechanisms underlying preference for sad music (symposium presentation) Posted in Presentation

Ms. Momoyo Tsuchiya, student of Graduate School of Medicine presented her research on the neural mechanisms underlying the preference for sad music at the symposium on the formation of cultural differences and intercultural acceptance, held from August 27th to 29th. There were many questions and suggestions from professors across various fields, including neuroscience, psychology, music education, composition, and arts management.
In addition to the presentations, the symposium also featured an improvisation workshop. It was a valuable experience to actually experience music-mediated interaction and nonverbal communication, and was a very enjoyable site for laughter.
