Handling of experimental equipment and consumables

Return to Summary
1. course requirements
1.1. online content

Read this HP and understand the handling of experimental equipment, related equipment, and consumables in the MRI room and waiting room.
1.2. practical training
Learn how to practice the above handling through MRI tours, laboratory exercises, etc.

2. online contents
(1) Handling and restoration of experimental equipment
MRI machines and peripheral equipment are shared by many researchers. There are also many special devices and equipment that can be used in magnetic environments, and replacements are not always immediately available. Handle them with care, and return used equipment and instruments to their original state for the next user.

(2) Malfunction or damage to experimental equipment
If the MRI machine or related equipment malfunctions or is damaged during use, or is found to be so, report it immediately to the Safety Director. Even if you are able to solve the trouble before reporting it, please cooperate by sharing it with other experimenters so that the experiment can proceed smoothly for all users.

Upon receiving a report, Safety Director should report it to the 3T-MRI Management Committee.

(3) Use up consumables
Many consumables (wet wipes, earplugs, etc.) are used in MRI experiments. When consumables are low in quantity or have been used up, please report this to On-site Experimenter for replenishment.

On-site Experimenter will replenish the supplies from the laboratory stock, and if the stock is low, please contact the CogNAC office. Also, after the experiment is over, check to see if each consumable item has been used up.
