Capacity limit for DICOM transfer

Return to Summary > Data Transfer Error Handling
Both transfer to an external HDD and network transfer are usually done in [Enhanced_DICOM format*1].

*1 This format combines multiple image frames into a single DICOM file. Common information (patient information, imaging conditions, etc.) can be stored only once, and different image data can be stored for each frame.

However, if the number of images in the selected series exceeds 16,384, a message will appear saying that the transfer will be switched to [Classic DICOM format*2].

*2 Each image frame is stored as a separate DICOM instance.

Solution 1: Transfer in Classic DICOM format

Proceed” in response to the message

Solution 2. Export as NIfTI file
