Troubleshooting MRI Equipment

【fMRI Training Program for Experimental Management Support Skills】
1.Requirements

Read the main website and linked pages to understand how to troubleshoot MRI equipment.
1.2.Practical Training
Learn troubleshooting methods through experimental exercises. (This is not mandatory if no issues arise.)

2.Online Content
(0)Check existing trouble reports beforehand
Past error reports are stored in the "Trouble Report" folder. Ensure you read through all of them.

    • Equipment
If you encounter an unknown error or a situation beyond the knowledge of the on-site supervisor, please attempt to resolve it using the following methods.
  1. Restart the MRI machine
  2. Contact the safety officer
  3. Contact Philips

After the experiment
Report the incident to the MRI management committee, detailing the circumstances and solution as much as possible.
Create a trouble report and store it in the folder.

 

(1)Understanding How to Restart the MRI Console PC
Restarting the MRI console PC may resolve the issue if the system malfunctions.
On the login screen, click “Restart” in the bottom-right corner.

(3)Contact Philips

Use the direct-dial phone button [1] to contact Philips Customer Support for remote assistance with the MRI situation.
Expect a waiting time of 30 seconds or more with no sound.

(4)Understanding the Shutdown and Restart Methods for the MRI Equipment
Note: These steps should only be performed based on instructions from Philips.
Follow the direct phone instructions or when a staff visit occurs.

Steps:
1. Shut down the MRI console PC

2.Open the outer cover of the circuit breaker in the machine room.

3.Switch off the instructed circuit breaker.

4.Wait for 1 minute, then turn the breaker back on.
Note: The console PC will automatically power on when the MRI equipment starts

5.Check the restart of the base control machine by going behind the cabinet and confirming that both power supplies are on.
