how to prepare MATLAB

SPM as a software for MRI data analyses needs MATLAB, a numeric computing environment.
All staff and students in Tohoku University can use a campus-wide licence for MATLAB.

【for faculty】
1. Send a application for using MATLAB by the google form (it is wrriten in Japanese)
*This form needs information of your affiliation and financial resources. Please consult the accounting staff in your affiliation.
2. Make an account of MathWorks with your mailaddress in Tohoku University (@tohoku.ac.jp) 
3. Sign in the site of MathWorks and download MATLAB.
 

【for students】

The latest version of MATLAB to be installed is generally acceptable, but R2023b is recommended. The developers of SPM12 have guaranteed that it works from R2007 to R2023b.

The campus-wide licence for MATLAB needs Tohoku University ID and password. You should confirm them in advance.
*If you don't have an administrator account in the computer, (e.g., using a shared computer in a lab), please start MATLAB in 'Run as administrator' mode.
